At an early age she moved to Independence where she went to highschool with playwright William Inge.
She is included here because of four films she did prior to her TV career. Vivian is best known for playing Ethyl Mertz in nearly 200 episodes of the I Love Lucy show. She later appeared again with Lucille Ball, this time as Vivian Bagley, in 80 episodes of The Lucy Show.
